As you step into the dark, a quiet space, there is a light, a sign, a symbol that will take you on a journey, and give you an opportunity to hear a story. WAG is transforming the Family Learning Centre into a place where lighting up words, signs and symbols will help children and families look at how we create meaning from the things we see. Drawing on the work of Australian artist Annette Iggulden, golden lights and shadowy scripts give visitors an opportunity to learn about history, illuminated manuscripts and what it is like to enjoy quiet, murmuring, breathing and the way we form a common experience of the world around us.
