Join artist Fiona Clarke, as she discssuses the inspiration and creation of her work on exhibition in An Ever Present Universe, now on show at the WAG.

An Ever Present Universe

In An Ever Present Universe South West artist Fiona Clarke presents the star dreaming story of the Seven Sisters: a culturally significant creation songline amongst a large number of Indigenous Australian language groups. This immersive exhibition features original paintings by Fiona Clarke telling the story of the Seven Sisters set amongst an installation of glow stars and a telling of the star dreaming story in language and English by Vicki Couzens.

Fiona Clarke

Fiona Clarke is a renowned local Aboriginal artist and children’s book author of the Kirrae Whurrong who has been a practising for over 26 years. Her most recent achievement was being selected by Cricket Australia to design the Aboriginal motif used to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the first Aboriginal Cricket team to play at the MCG on Boxing day, 2016.All welcome - free event - no bookings required
