Discussion: Closing the Gap

event date:
Sunday, 18 March 2018 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Everyone deserves the right to a healthy future and the opportunities this affords. We are very lucky to live in a rich country with a universal health system, however many of Australia’s First Peoples don’t have access to adequate health care. As a result, the gap between general health and life expectancy outcomes for our Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island communities, compared to other Australians, is widening.

Join Elder Robbie Lowe and WAG staff at the gallery as a part of National Close the Gap Day 2018 for a discussion on how we can, as a community, achieve indigenous health equality in South-Western Victoria by 2030.
