Gender Equity. Free teacher PD

This FREE program will be delivered by an experienced teacher from the Her Place Women’s Museum Australia and will cover:

  • Building a Feminist Collective at your school:
  • Based on the internationally recognised Fitzroy High School Feminist Collective model;
  • Getting a Gender Equality Policy in your Primary School:
  • Why it's important and how to do it;
  • Respectful Relationships Education:
  • Whole School Approach. What DET is doing; and,
  • Integration of Gender Equity strategies into your classroom and curriculum.

The format of this session will be via interactive presentations and whole group discussion. The emphasis is on practical ideas that teachers can transfer and apply to their own schools. The aim is to provide local teachers with the skills to promote and implement gender equality initiatives within a whole school framework.
