Live Concert: Soixante Douze (SOLD OUT)

event date:
Sunday, 17 January 2021 - 3:15pm to 5:45pm
Location:
Permanent Collection

Led by prominent Warrnambool musician, Russ Goodear and his new band Soixante Douze invite audiences to experience artworks from WAG’s permanent collection against the backdrop of melancholic experimental blues. Dispersed throughout the gallery, the socially distanced audience is positioned in front of key works from WAG’s collection and encouraged to let the minimalist sounds of classical piano (Zoe McNeice) and cello (Mike Weise) guide their visual experience. The concert will also feature tributes to Leonard Cohen and Gregory Alan Isakov.

SOIXANTE DOUZE is supported by Soul singer Gemma Sheldon and the ambient soundscapes of James Goodear.
