Open Studio: Rosalind Crisp

event date:
Wednesday, 26 June 2019 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

‘Dancing in the WAG gallery is a great privilege and a very special context within which to develop and share my live performance practice’ - Rosalind Crisp

During special open studio times, everyone is welcome to visit the artist at work. The open studio is an invitation to be with the artist at work in her studio. It will form and evolve over the course of the residency. It is intended to be responsive to each visitor; to how they enter and engage with Rosalind’s work, and responsive to where the artist is at in the process. Each day will be different for example Rosalind may be dancing, writing, talking, reflecting or resting. Everyone is welcome to come for any amount of time, and leave at any time. Throughout the open studio you will be hosted by Rosalind, made comfortable and allowed to ask questions, watch, move and experience. The audience’s responses to Rosalind’s practice during the open studios will no doubt inform her danced lecture DIRtywork.
