InDiverse Cultures/Diverse Disabilities: Culture + Disability + Inclusion’ Chrisitan Astourian speaks poignetly about his life as a man with a disability from a culturally diverse background. A charismatic speaker, Christian is fluent in Italian, French, Greek and English. His insights are representative of the lived experience and his honesty just may leave you contemplating another perspective.

Christian works tirelessly to enhance the freedom, independence, knowledge and opportunities for people with a disability. He encourages people with disabilities, community organisations, health, education and community development workers, migrants, refugees and all those wanting a more inclusive society to attend.

Christian Astourian

Christian is an accomplished scholar and Disability Consultant and manger of Disability and Diverse, a self-advocacy program that provides support to people with a disability from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. He has advised the Victorian Human Rights Commission, Victorian Government Disability Service Commissioner Board and the Federation of Ethnic Community Councils of Australia (FECCA).
