Presentation: The Future Will be Inclusive: Design + Access + Inclusion (Student Session)

event date:
Friday, 8 September 2017 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

In the inclusive future, all arts and community projects will from their initial stages have access built in, it will not be an ‘add on’, access will be addressed at all points.

‘The Future Will Be Inclusive: Design + Access + Inclusion’ is an engaging presentation by Jacqui Ward (stART Community Art Inc) designed in line with the VCE Studio Arts and general art curriculum . The presentation encourages students to explore the concept of art as advocacy, making accessible exhibitions and inclusive processes within arts practices.

The presentation is framed by community cultural development (CCD) (http://www.ccd.net/about/theory.html) theory.
