beach plastic keyring

Create your own colourful keyring using plastic collected from local beaches!
Kids will explore an amazing collection of marine debris (including fishing beads, hard plastics and other curious beach treasures) to design a fun and functional keepsake.
Along the way, they'll discover how everyday litter can be transformed into something creative while learning about the impact of plastic pollution on our coastline. All materials supplied.

Serial BeachComber gives washed-up plastic a second life through creative reuse. Every piece begins as marine debris collected from Victoria's beaches and is transformed into playful, one-of-a-kind jewellery and accessories that celebrate creativity while starting conversations about caring for our oceans.

This workshop is part of Stories from the Sea: Art, Place, Community, a community-led creative reuse and storytelling project addressing marine debris and volunteer fatigue along the Shipwreck Coast. Assisted by Regional Arts Australia.
