Join exhibiting artist Paul Yore alongside Psychotherapist and Co Director of the Albert and Barbara Tucker Foundation, Caitlin Graham-Jones as they discuss the political, social and contemporary ideas behind this surprising yet remarkable pairing of artists.
Paul Yore is a contemporary Australian artist who playfully but unapologetically re-centres radical and emancipatory queer expression against the backdrop of neoliberalism and the material excesses of capitalism. Yore’s work engages with the histories of religious art and ritual, queer identity, pop-culture and neo-liberal capitalism. He recasts a vast array of found images, materials and texts into sexually and politically loaded tableaux and sculptural assemblages which celebrate hybrid and fluid identities, unstable and contradictory meanings, and the glowing horizon of queer worldmaking.
