Now Or Never23, Kelela, serpent with feet, MIRASIA

Exploring the depths between music, dance and community, MIRASIA is well regarded as an artist and community leader. She is the Overall Mother and co-founder of The House of Silky, holding it down as Ballroom Australia's resident DJ, and co-founder of Dutty, a party based in Naarm that prioritises music and the QTBIPOC community.

In 2022 MIRASIA debuted for Boiler Room x Umami, toured Europe and UK playing for We Out Here Festival (UK), Château Sonic (FRN), HÖR (GER) and collaborated with Filth (AKL) x Dutty on their first international instalment of the Naarm based collective. Notable releases include "The Black Trans Project", curated by Neneh Cherry, producing the track "Cherry" alongside Honey Dijon & Ms. Carrie Sticks, as well as her latest release "Thigh High Bootlegs Vol.1" which blends the sounds of Ballroom and Club Pasifika.

Multidisciplinary artist, Doula, and DJ Hannah Brontë will be joining MIRASIA for a set, celebrating her upcoming exhibition Sunday's Child, officially opening at the Warrnambool Art Gallery on Saturday 25 May.

Hannah draws inspiration from her chosen and blended families, as well as her surrounding community to focus on and empower diverse bodies. Her work has been featured in prestigious institutions, including the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, UTS, Sydney, The Ford Foundation, NYC, USA and the Vancouver Art Gallery in Canada.
