Perform outside the Norm – Embodying Gender Nonconformity in Cabaret Performance 

 

Join Joanna Laheaux and Dani Boi for a hands on retrospective of historical gender subversion in cabaret and drag performance, along with how to embody your own nonconformity into performance.

 

This event is a part of HAVEN - a concept, pop-up salon at the Warrnambool Art Gallery that will serve as a meeting place, exhibition, performance and music space for the LGBTIQA+ communities of South-Western Victoria.  Haven is supported by the Victorian Government, Warrnmbool Art Gallery, Warrnambool City Council, Lighthouse Theatre, Safe in the South West, Brophy Family & Youth Services, The Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives, Rainbow Families Victoria and LoveLock.
