Jaya Keaney is a Lecturer in Gender Studies at the University in Melbourne and the author of Making Gaybies: Queer Reproduction and Multiracial Feeling (Duke University Press, 2023), which was a finalist for the Rachel Carson Prize. She writes, researches, and teaches in the fields of feminist technoscience studies, feminist theory, and queer of colour studies. Her work explores the cultural politics of reproduction, racism, and queer feminist frameworks of embodiment and inheritance. She is a member of transnational editorial collective of Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience, an open access journal of feminist science and technology studies.
