Workshop: Visible mending with Sue Ferrari

A wonderful art form which adopts an upcycling mentality to restore garments and household items in a visible and revealing way using traditional mending techniques.

 In this hands-on workshop you will be introduced to simple patching techniques using Fletcher Jones fabric scraps and hand darning with wool for your knit pieces. Each offering lots of creative possibilities for repairing and enhancing your clothes and household textiles.

Bring along: An article of clothing or textile item that needs a little patch or a darn or two. You can also chose to practice on the materials provided.  

We will provide: Pins, needles, scissors and a range of vintage Fletcher Jones fabric scraps to create a patch, along with recycled threads and wool for stitching and darning
