Arthur Streeton is one of Australia's best-known landscape painters and a member of the ‘Heidelberg School’. Born at Mt Duneed, South West Victoria, in 1867, Streeton championed a new pictorial narrative of interpreting Australian Light in the landscape.

150 years on, the practices of three prominent Australian contemporary artists Consuelo Cavaniglia, Taree MacKenzie and Gemma Smith are brought into dialogue with the South West Victorian landscape. Awash with colour, light becomes the mechanism by which each artist creates a space for chance encounters, perceptual shifts and illusions.
