Colour, Pattern and Play

In this session children explore how colour and pattern are important elements in creativity. Children will be guided to identify how artists use colour and the shapes present in artworks on display. They will learn about primary, secondary and tertiary colours and explore how colours create feelings and the shapes and patterns that are found in the world around them. Children are engaged in a hands on exercise exploring colour and pattern and will create a colourful artwork to take home.
