Australian Light. Consuelo Cavaniglia, Taree Mackenzie and Gemma Smith

WAG cordially invites you to the official launch of this exhibition followed by a panel discussion with participating artists

Warrnambool Art Gallery cordially invites you to the official launch of this exhibition followed by a panel discussion with participating artists Consuelo Cavaniglia and Taree Mackenzie.

Landscape painter and member of the 'Heidelberg school' Arthur Streeton was born at Mt Duneed, South West Victoria, in 1867. He championed a new pictorial narrative of interpreting Australian light in the landscape. 150 years on, Australian contemporary artists respond to the same landscape through the prism of light, creating spaces for chance encounters, perceptual shifts and illusions.
